Streamer Notice

If you're a streamer wanting to stream the game, I'd just like to give you a heads up more so than below. If you're NOT a streamer, then I'd recommend skipping this section as it does spoil some of the cooler stuff the demo includes.

The demo displays the following personal identifiers:

Your PC's username (Often your real name!)

Your location (This is your city, nothing too specific)

Hi! I'm really happy you decided to check out Scoptophobia. This is my first game in a while and I'm really proud of it. Just to warn you before you head in, this is unfinished. The demo lasts roughly 10 minutes, and does not include the best content of the game. In the full game you can expect anything from new desktop backgrounds to Discord messages. This demo has a lot less of that whilst I iron out the bugs..

The Game..

You were supposed to have the house to yourself for one night. No parents, no noise, just you and a quiet evening. That lasts about five minutes before things start feeling wrong. Lights flicker. Your PC acts up.

As you move through the house, the game slowly spreads into the rest of your computer. It becomes harder to tell what is part of the story and what isn’t. Something, or someone, is watching you, learning you, getting closer.

A tense, unsettling horror experience that plays with your expectations, your space, and your screen.

Warning Section

The full game interacts with your computer in unusual ways. It may open programs, create fake errors, send messages, and alter visuals on your desktop as part of the experience. None of these effects are permanent, but they are designed to feel intrusive and unsettling.

If you’re uncomfortable with fourth wall breaks, sudden PC interruptions, or the feeling of being watched, play with caution.

Headphones are strongly recommended.
